What is PokeTimer?

PokeTimer is a countdown timer which shows when the Pokémon GO event will start, how long the event will take and when it ends. In addition to events, there’s also a timer for nest migrations. So, you can get the most out of your journey! To see the various timers, you can simply swipe or click on the left or right side of the timer banner.

Timer accuracy?

Niantic provides us with a time, however they are not completely consistent. The information given is based on Niantic’s published schedule, still there can be discrepancies between the schedule and the PokeTimer.

When will there be an event?

We cannot consult Niantic’s schedule to see when events take place. However, we do collect all available information about the events and post it here as soon as possible so that you can easily find out the timeline of the event.

What is a nest migration?

There are certain spawn points called nests in Pokémon GO which will spawn a certain kind of Pokémon a lot and on a regular basis. They can be anywhere but they tend to be around PokéStops or Gyms. The species that will spawn at a given nest will stay the same for about 2 weeks most of the time. The migration almost always happens on a Wednesday at 5:00 PM PDT. When the species in the nest changes, it is called a nest migration. Nest migrations are seemingly random, so if you get one you need, hit it as often as you can in those two weeks. To help out your fellow travelers there's a Nest Atlas made by The SilphRoad where you can report your local nest species. The SilphRoad offers tons of information about all Pokémon GO related stuff.

So how do I use this awesome countdown timer?

This is the easy part. Bookmark this page and see if there is an event going on or whether it is coming. You can also add a shortcut to your homescreen.

Why is the timer not working for me?

Sometimes the browser you're using is caching files to save some traffic data, which can result in old / outdated files and information. When you're experiencing something like that, please refresh the page and/or clear your browser cache. If this doesn't solve the issue, please contact us and we'll look into it for you!

Do you have super secret event news?

Please contact us if you'd like to share it with us. We'll always try to be accurate, fast and effective. But what we have seen in the past, is that Niantic isn't that punctual with time based events. They're not always giving us a strict time/schedule or even a time/schedule at all. So if you can help us and thereby the community, please do so! We'll always check our sources carefully to ensure quality content.
